Making copies of designs is helpful in keeping ‘original’ versions before sharing them for editing if you don’t have access to your design’s version history.
You can also make copies of designs that are shared with you.
Here’s how:
- From the homepage, click All your designs. You can also go into the folder where the design that you want to duplicate is located.
- Hover your cursor over the design that you want to duplicate.
- Click the ••• icon that appears.
- Select Make a copy.
If you created a copy from All your designs, you’ll find it in All your designs. If you did so from inside a folder, the copy will also be created in the same folder.
You can also duplicate an open design by clicking File from the top menu bar inside the editor and by selecting Make a copy.
Tip: Reviewing and restoring design versions is available for Canva Pro, Canva for Enterprise, Canva for Education, and Canva for Nonprofits users.
