Layer, group, and align elements

Create or open an existing design, and refer below to layer, group, or position your design elements:

Layer

Arrange which element sits on top of which:

1. Click to select the element you want to move.
2. Click Position from the toolbar above the editor.
3. Choose Forward to move it up one layer, or Backward to move it down one layer.

Group and ungroup

Group elements to move or lock them together:

1. Click and drag your cursor over the elements you want to group. You can also hold Shift on your keyboard, and click on multiple elements to select them.
2. Click Group from the toolbar above the editor. You can also use CMD+G (Mac) or CTRL+G (Windows) on your keyboard.

Note: You cannot add grids and charts to groups.

To ungroup, click to select the group, and click Ungroup from the toolbar above the editor.

Align or position

Align elements relative to the design page:

1. Click to select the element you want to align.
2. Click Position from the toolbar above the editor.
3. Choose a position to apply it to the selected element.

This works for elements, text boxes, images, and videos. You can also position grouped elements.
